It's the latest venture of Bart Potenza and Joy Pierson, proprietors of the famous Candle Café. Combining creative, beautifully presented, delicious organic vegan cuisine with gracious, knowledgeable service in a gorgeous duplex space, Candle 79 is at the forefront of a movement to bring the concepts of "local", "seasonal", "organic", and "vegan" into the culinary mainstream.

"Candle 79 is the upscale sister restaurant to Candle Café. Candle 79 is not only a calming, attractive place to dine but the food is spectacular. Every dish is delicious. All ingredients are organic and mostly locally grown. Seitan skewers (appetizer) and Seitan Picatta (entrée) are my favorites. They have some lovely organic wines and beers. Their cocktails, mostly made with sake, are not to be missed. Make sure to leave room for one of their tantalizing desserts." |
