"Other Avenues, in the Outer Sunset near the ocean on the N line, is like a little Rainbow Grocery: an all-vegetarian, worker-owned, progressive, environmental cooperative. They try to source from organic farms and local businesses, use solar power, sell only organic fair trade coffee, have a great bulk section, have organic wines, beers, and juices, hummus and cheeses, fresh breads and soy analogs, and have many cool non-food items, too. If Rainbow Grocery is a taste of utopia, Other Avenues is a smaller taste of the same paradise."
