    COMMENTS FROM VegDining.com VISITORS:
"This is my favorite vegetarian restaurant in the Seattle area. Actually, favorite restaurant period. I highly recommend the lunch specials, in particular item "D" on the menu (Satay steak), which I personally have about twice per week. For dinner, I recommend getting one order each of the chow mien noodles, sizzling satay, gluten basil dish, and the sweet and sour balls.

If you are bringing non-vegetarian friends, the above mentioned dishes are a safe bet, and pretty much everyone I have ever brought is surprised by how good these items are. (Enough so that they come back on their own.)

The atmosphere is not fancy, but it is tasteful and clean, with very friendly people. Prices are quite reasonable - especially for lunch. (Usually I pay $9 to $13 for lunch. For dinner I usually pay quite a bit more because the dinner entries are a little more expensive and I always order enough to have plenty of leftovers to bring home.)

Chan Ho is probably 99% vegan. About the only exception is the fortune cookie, and perhaps one or two dishes. If you are interested in cooking, you can also purchase some of the "meats" to bring home and try cooking for yourself; though I personally prefer bring home leftovers that are already prepared. The restaurant is a little bit hard to find, tucked just one entrance north of and a bit behind the Great Wall Shopping Mall. It's definitely worth looking for."

"This is a clean, spacious restaurant located well back from E. Valley Hwy in a small strip-mall (behind Great Wall Mall). They sport an excellent selection and variety of dishes. Highly recommended are any of Chan Ho's superb fried rice noodle dishes. Their service is friendly."

"We got to try Chan Ho for the first time today. The restaurant is clean and quiet, with a well thought- out menu and friendly service. There are tons of creative vegan options. The food was wonderful, and incredibly fresh even in mid-winter. We were impressed with the textures and flavors achieved with the meat substitute they use (which you can buy for $10 per huge bag). Most importantly, the food wasn't greasy. Even the deep-fried foods were delicate and clean-tasting. We highly reccomend the egg rolls, pot stickers (heavy on the ginger), and deep fried mushroom balls, which are wonderfully chewy and flavored with tamarind."
