PNEUMATIC DINER

"Pneumatic Diner, affectionately known as P.D., is a fun and funky little place that deserves serious attention. Across from the Truckee River and up on the 2nd floor of a condo building (formerly a hotel), it's easy to miss, which would be a shame. P.D. is in a horse-shoe shape, has hipster workers, and serves delicious food, whether it's a sandwich (with optional "slab", their term for tofu), pasta pesto, granola, and more. I love their pies too. Their menu is as informative as it is whimsical. Enjoy P.D., have a great healthy meal, and meet the cool people of Reno!"

"You would never find this place if you were just walking down the street, but the food here is delicious. I had the Pasta ORG (oil, romano, garlic), with their pseudo-meatballs ("nards") - and it was quite tasty. The desserts are huge, the prices are reasonable, and the food is very good. For your non-veg friends, they have a glossary in the back of the menu (which is also helpful for those of us not familiar with Pneumatic's own unique wording). Either way, go here, eat, but don't give up when you can't find the restaurant on the first try - we had to go through some apartment/hotel building that had no signage to get there."
