"Bela's is a very small, and low-key, but consistently good. Everytime I eat there, I feel enormously happy! They have a regular menu which I almost never order off, as they have many, many specials posted on their board each evening. Everything I have tried has been top-notch - freshly prepared, always with great, well-cooked fresh veggies and an interesting sauce. There is an equal number of vegan and vegetarian selections, and all are well marked so there's no surprises. Often their specials usually contain a green of some sort (bok choy, kale, even brussel sprouts) and they are so tastily prepared that even green-phobes will enjoy them. There are often vegan desserts as well (or, if they don't have on that evening, you can pop next door to the Woodstar Cafe for a vegan cookie). Having vegan choices in a small town is nothing short of a godsend, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Even 'though I've been to fancier vegetarian/vegan restaurants in big cities, Bela's will always remain my very favorite."
