"No iceberg lettuce here! Collard rolls, sweet potato fries, coconut tofu wrap, creole tofu! Vegan key lime pie! I'm so happy this place exists. Now, keep in mind, this is not a gourmet restaurant. If you are used to fine dining, then this is probably not the place for you. If you want good vegan fare, check it out."

"Before moving to New Orleans I was repeatedly told that I would be miserable there as a vegan. Fortunately I've found that not to be the case, thanks in large part to the folks at Cafe Bamboo, New Orleans's only fully veg restaurant. The menu is mostly vegan, the food is delicious, and they have a lovely patio area. I only wish I could bring my dog!"

"Cafe Bamboo is the only 100% vegetarian restaurant in New Orleans located 2 blocks from the French Market. The food is absolutely delicious and the menu offers a variety of dishes that are mostly vegan including African Mafe, Tofu Pad Thai, and Thai Curry. Traditional New Orleans style dishes like Creole Sauce and Red Beans and Rice with smoked "sausage" are great options for those seeking local fare. The eclectic indoor space has a chill vibe with the option of backyard seating and the whole staff is super friendly."
