"Perhaps one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the country. Bloodroot started in 1977, and at this original location, has been preparing and serving a seasonal and varied menu of ethnic vegetarian dishes from around the world. The tastes are memorable. I love the self-service because you get to stay at your table beyond what most traditional restaurants would allow. Nobody does desserts better!"

"Bloodroot is an amazing vegetarian and feminist restaurant. They serve locally grown foods when possible, even having their own garden. The menu is eclectic, changing daily, and always has at least 2 or 3 things you can't wait to try. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and dining there is a must for all vegetarians and vegans."
