"Liguria Bakery makes fresh focaccia and only focaccia. There are no decorations, except for an old scale and cash register in the window. This bakery is focused solely on just one delicious product, though you can choose from about half a dozen vegetarian toppings (never any meat or cheese). This old-time bakery across from Washington Square Park in North Beach closes at 2 PM or when the focaccia runs out and let?s just say that they always close before 2, with good reason. Get there as soon as you can, no special orders, and bring cash!"

"They have only around 5 items and it's all vegan. Let me see - they have flavors such as: tomato (pizza), garlic, raisin, onion, mushroom. My definite favorite is the tomato. It tastes like pizza. You can call ahead and have your "pizza" sliced or not sliced. If you don't pickup your breads on time, it might get sold near the end of the day to another customer. It's a definite place to visit if you are not worried about carbs!"
