HERBIVORE - THE EARTHLY GRILL ON DIVISADERO

"With two locations in SF and another in Berkeley, Herbivore is a beautifully-designed restaurant, though informal and inviting. Fully vegan, it also tries to use organic ingredients whenever possible. It has an eclectic menu, including grilled vegetables, salads, tacos and burritos, pad thai, pasta dishes, homemade veggie and tempeh burgers, falafel, yummy dipping sauces, smoothies, juices, wines, and much more, all at very reasonable prices. Many of their "ethnic" dishes, however, are generally not as good as their American food. We love to meet both veg and non-veg friends there for a meal, go with family, or just by ourselves for a nice, healthy, hearty, delicious, and affordable meal. It is one of our "go to" places and we do so often. Herbivore is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in SF and certainly the one with the best value."

"The first time I visited this restaurant it blew my mind. The atmosphere is comfortably casual, service is good and the menu options were incredible. You can get anything from a veggie burger, lasagne, Thai food, Mexican - you name it, they have it! I have eaten over a dozen menu items and I have never been disappointed. My favorites are probably the coconut soup, lasagne, and burrito. And the price is right. It is on the inexpensive side. Before you leave you must try the blueberry pie (make sure to request they warm it up) with soy ice cream. Their chocolate chip cookies are great too. And just when you think it can't get any better, they serve breakfast and lunch too! I went there for both a few times. I really loved the tofu omlette with veggies and they serve their coffee with soymilk which turns it into a dessert. I have eaten at their other branch in San Francisco and the food is just as good."
