"I was a bit worried about being vegan in Portugal, as though I hadn't been before, I had been told that it was very meat and fish oriented and would be difficult. However my first visit was a revelation! In particular this restaurant as it was my favourite of the ones we visited.
The first time we went was for a dinner. They have a fully vegan buffet that cost only 11 euros each. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The choice we had on the buffet was fantastic. There were lots of salad bits including olives, spinach, tomatoes etc. There were three "main courses" one of which this time was mushroom soya stroganoff. It was delicious! There were lots of other things we could eat too.
We could even have coffee with soya milk afterwards, and you can ask for it in a large mug if you prefer rather than having the traditional small mug. We were told we had to save room for dessert next time, so assured we would be coming back!
Sure enough we did go back on another day for the lunchtime buffet and also introduced some non-vegan family to the restaurant. The cost was still very cheap and there was just as good variety. I highly recommend the caramelised sweet potatoes!
We did save room for dessert. Sadly they had run out of the chocolate mousse so opted for the mango instead and didn't regret it. It was delicious! The non-vegetarian family members also enjoyed it. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are vegan and happen to be visiting Lisbon."
