LA MERIENDA

"All of those, like me, who love travel and enjoy a good vegetarian meal know how challenging can be to find a good and decent restaurant in Central America. None the less, last week, my husband and I visited for our third time Granada and found, on Calle La Calzada, a little Nicaraguan-vegetarian restaurant named La Merienda which is very friendly and relaxing. The food was finger licking good and under $3.5 USD. It takes a bit of time to get the food to the table but it is worth the wait. There are 21 items to choose from. Let me recommend Vegetables al ajillo and Vegetables Nicoya. Both platters are huge, delicious servings. The owner speaks some English and I recommended a web-site.
