"Having traveled all over Canada, and spent many years traveling the world for work, I am always surprised to find a vegetarian restaurant that is in the heart of a big city and actually makes food that is 'home cooked' and tasty. This restaurant had a very varied menu, friendly and knowlegeable staff, nice presentation, and not outrageous prices. Veg food no matter how lovely, should not cost twice the most expensive steak house. This restaurant had pleasant (not elegant) surroundings with a nice water feature. But the food was excellent. Lots of tofu and gluten choices plus many with good selection of mushrooms, veges, etc. One could choose enough to not have too many fried things. They even had some very tasty, not high fat, desserts. Definitely high on my list if travel takes me back to Winnipeg." |
